On behalf of our client, reacHIRE is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join Ipsen’s Financial Planning and Analysis team. The Senior Financial Analyst will support Ipsen’s North America Specialty Care business, as well as the internal financial budgeting and controllership for various Ipsen business partners. This position will provide cross functional support to enable effective financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting of operating results, leading to sound business decisions in accordance with IFRS and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Business Partners assisting with annual budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Prepare and update current year financial forecasts and analyses
  • Execute the monthly close file preparation ensuring accurate portrayal of current operations and activities (accruals, close meetings, financial reviews, etc.)
  • Review and prepare month-end journal entries, monthly financial reports and metrics and communicate them to business partners
  • Identify, interpret and communicate budget and expense variances cross functionally
  • Review and approve Purchase Orders and Contracts in line with approved budgets 
  • Communicate and coordinate internally on financial issues
  • Support implementation of new planning software application across US and Canada operations

Qualifications

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or relevant degree
  • Masters degree is preferred, CPA is a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in developing financial forecasts and strategic plans
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and/or GAAP with strong Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle, or similar
  • Self-starter with passion, energy, enthusiasm to drive results and affect meaningful change and process efficiencies
  • Adept at influencing without authority – able to lead/follow as required and function independently
