*Please note that this position is expected to transition from remote to in-person sometime during the program.  Because neither reacHIRE nor T-Mobile provide relocation assistance, only local candidates, or those already planning to move to the area, will be considered. *

reacHIRE is proud to partner with T-Mobile, for a 6 month return-to-work program starting in November 2020 designed for Technical Support Engineering professionals returning to the workforce after a 2+ year career break. Please note candidates who have worked in part-time roles or have done independent contracting will be considered for this opportunity. It is a cohort-based model that allows individuals to re-enter the workforce in a supported way with a group of fellow returning professionals. We provide a one-week intensive onboarding specially designed to build the skills needed to successfully re-enter the workforce. This proven approach fosters camaraderie among colleagues, builds confidence and upgrades technology and professional skills that will be invaluable throughout this next phase of their career.

Responsibilities

  • Create scripts to query our edge network routers
  • Build reports using PowerBI and/or Tableau to display queried information to identify potential network issues and report on them
  • May assist with application and server support and administration 
  • Utilize UNIX/Linux skills to support various applications and OSS platforms
  • Supports the development and delivery of training programs and supports documentation to other departments on new operation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
  • May require "out of box" thinking and analysis of software problems within the network. 
  • Provide on-site and remote support during major software upgrades as well as validate and implement parameter changes.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a technical role
  • Past experience working with UNIX/Linux platforms 
  • Prior scripting/coding experience using Python, Java
  • Strong communications skills to include written and verbal
  • Advanced analytics and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently even under high pressure situations 
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to build consensus across teams 
  • Ability to work cross functionally to identify and resolve network faults/issues
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; in lieu of the education requirement, 10 years of relevant technical experience may be considered.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Power BI
  • Preferred: Knowledge/prior experience in telecom industry
