reacHIRE is proud to partner with Wayfair for a 6-month return-to-work program starting in July 2021 designed for professionals who are returning to the workforce after a 2+ year career break. Wayfair is hiring for a Video Production Manager to join their team!

 

Candidates who have worked in part-time roles or have done independent contracting will be considered for this opportunity. It is a cohort-based model that allows individuals to re-enter the workforce in a supported way with a group of fellow returning professionals. We provide a one-week intensive onboarding specially designed to build the skills needed to successfully re-enter the workforce. This proven approach fosters camaraderie among colleagues, builds confidence and upgrades technology and professional skills that will be invaluable throughout this next phase of their career.

 

Note that some of the responsibilities and areas of expertise listed below represent performance expectations to be met or skills to be gained by the end of the 6-month program. The Wayfair Return-to-Work program is designed to help candidates on-ramp and upskill. We encourage all candidates with applicable prior experience to apply!

Responsibilities

Wayfair is seeking a driven & experienced Producer/Production Manager to join our in-house creative production team. In this role, you will support and drive creative and operational work related to our video post production (editing team). The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, planning, time-management, and follow-through skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industry. The Producer/Production Manager would work alongside our in-house creative & marketing teams to help define our strategy and goals for each project/production. This role is primarily a Project Management role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Creative Partners (Editors, Writers, Producers) and Business stakeholders to evolve our editing operation and process as our editing pipeline scales
  • Help to drive individual editing projects for TV, Online Video and/or Onsite from editing start to launch
  • Manage inbound project requests from stakeholders, work with the team to assess capacity, allocate resources and manage stakeholder/creative interactions, proactively identifying and removing roadblocks. 
  • Track and monitor operational metrics, usage licenses, budgets and KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement. 
  • Negotiate vendor contracts as needed to support creative needs (i.e. voiceover talent, music etc.) 
  • Oversee production budgets, estimates and calendars ensuring each production is meeting guidelines and due dates from channel leads
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management & partners
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic action plans, and risk management assessment within projects   

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of production experience in a post house, advertising agency or production company
  • Knowledge of business affairs and commercial production process and protocols.
  • Highly organized, strong at multitasking and prioritization
  • Drive to learn and roll up their sleeves in a fast paced environment
  • Creative problem solving & critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Familiarity with Google Suite a plus
