reacHIRE is proud to partner with Wayfair for a 6-month return-to-work program starting in July 2021 designed for professionals who are returning to the workforce after a 2+ year career break. Wayfair is hiring for a Manager of Merchandising Services Strategy to join their team!

 

Candidates who have worked in part-time roles or have done independent contracting will be considered for this opportunity. It is a cohort-based model that allows individuals to re-enter the workforce in a supported way with a group of fellow returning professionals. We provide a one-week intensive onboarding specially designed to build the skills needed to successfully re-enter the workforce. This proven approach fosters camaraderie among colleagues, builds confidence and upgrades technology and professional skills that will be invaluable throughout this next phase of their career.

 

Note that some of the responsibilities and areas of expertise listed below represent performance expectations to be met or skills to be gained by the end of the 6-month program. The Wayfair Return-to-Work program is designed to help candidates on-ramp and upskill. We encourage all candidates with applicable prior experience to apply!

Who We Are

The 3D Operations team is a new, rapidly growing team at Wayfair. For ecommerce, Imagery sells products, however the traditional method of creating imagery in a photo studio is time consuming and expensive. Wayfair is partnering with Google, Facebook, and other leaders in the industry to disrupt the imagery space and shift the industry towards the creation of computer-generated 3D product models and rooms that can be combined to create imagery for products at a grand scale for a fraction of the cost. 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the scaling and development of overall imagery operations and go-to market strategy for new merchandising offering
  • Work with product, Model/Imagery Ops and Account management stakeholders to oversee implementation of tech and scale brand new imagery offering for suppliers.
  • Perform tasks including market research, focus groups, building of mock web pages, and buildout of test cases to assess how it will perform in the market prior to going to market
  • Work would include P&L for the service, co-ownership of tech timeline, supplier NPS and reoccurrence.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working in roles revolving around go-to market strategy, merchandising, account management or retail operations 
  • Thrives in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment; high degree of comfort with constant change
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management skills in complex environments
  • Deep-seated drive to deliver results and infectious accountability; evidence of “scrappy startup execution” and a “get it done” attitude when time is tight and stakes are high
  • Proven experience and passion for working across functions and with C-level leaders, synthesizing multiple points of view and owning a coherent action plan, all while negotiating and influencing others
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheet skills needed; SQL and Tableau experience is a plus but not required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
