reacHIRE is proud to partner with Wayfair for a 6-month return-to-work program starting in July 2021 designed for professionals who are returning to the workforce after a 2+ year career break. Wayfair is hiring for an Internal Communications Manager to join their team!

 

Candidates who have worked in part-time roles or have done independent contracting will be considered for this opportunity. It is a cohort-based model that allows individuals to re-enter the workforce in a supported way with a group of fellow returning professionals. We provide a one-week intensive onboarding specially designed to build the skills needed to successfully re-enter the workforce. This proven approach fosters camaraderie among colleagues, builds confidence and upgrades technology and professional skills that will be invaluable throughout this next phase of their career.

 

Note that some of the responsibilities and areas of expertise listed below represent performance expectations to be met or skills to be gained by the end of the 6-month program. The Wayfair Return-to-Work program is designed to help candidates on-ramp and upskill. We encourage all candidates with applicable prior experience to apply!

Responsibilities

Wayfair’s Global Supply Chain Communications & Engagement team executes thoughtful campaigns which resonate with our 5,000+ Supply Chain employees across more than 50 locations.  We curate, plan, and execute consistent experiences across the employee lifecycle and lean into a wide variety of communications channels. A successful GSC Internal Communications Manager candidate will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, excel in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and comfortably tackle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Help to drive the strategy and execution of communications campaigns to support dissemination of business updates, initiatives and process which impact our NA Supply Chain network 
  • Manage day-to-day employee communications operations from intake to execution
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain Operations Leadership, Employer Branding, Translation, Human Resources, Culture & Inclusion, etc.) to consolidate and optimize content design and delivery
  • Craft clever and compelling content to be shared through a variety of channels, including email, print, Slack, video, presentations, newsletters, events and more; tailoring efforts by audience
  • Enforce content governance to ensure messaging resonates with the unique needs of our frontline Supply Chain employees
  • Regularly track, analyze and report campaign and channel performance towards key performance indicators
  • Contribute to the planning of medium size projects and assist with successful execution to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of GSC Communications programming and operations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience (employee communications, corporate communications, public relations, brand management, etc.)
  • Extensive familiarity and experience partnering with and supporting Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, or similar teams
  • Demonstrated mastery of end-to-end content creation across multiple channels
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across both internal and external parties
  • Critical thinking with flexibility, openness to change and new information
  • Consistent experience in influencing cross functional partners and decision makers
  • Grasps new information, recognizes own strengths and weaknesses, pursues self-development, and seeks feedback
  • Organized with keen attention to detail, possesses the ability to own and execute tasks efficiently
  • Prior experience owning several projects simultaneously and pivoting in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proficiency with Google Drive Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets - pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas in Sheets required), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
