reacHIRE is proud to partner with Wayfair for a 6-month return-to-work program starting in July 2021 designed for professionals who are returning to the workforce after a 2+ year career break. Wayfair is hiring for a Product Operations Manager to join their team!


Candidates who have worked in part-time roles or have done independent contracting will be considered for this opportunity. It is a cohort-based model that allows individuals to re-enter the workforce in a supported way with a group of fellow returning professionals. We provide a one-week intensive onboarding specially designed to build the skills needed to successfully re-enter the workforce. This proven approach fosters camaraderie among colleagues, builds confidence and upgrades technology and professional skills that will be invaluable throughout this next phase of their career.


Note that some of the responsibilities and areas of expertise listed below represent performance expectations to be met or skills to be gained by the end of the 6-month program. The Wayfair Return-to-Work program is designed to help candidates on-ramp and upskill. We encourage all candidates with applicable prior experience to apply!



The Product Operations Manager will help to be the connective tissue within the Ad Tech and Notifications product team, helping the product factory to run smoothly and to assist with various projects. This position will expose the individual to all aspects of the group’s operations across 11 product streams, where they will serve as a force multiplier to make all PMs more impactful. Additionally, this individual will help with new initiatives, such as our innovation task force, and project manage short-term efforts such as specific implementations or integrations.



  • Support product leadership in the daily rhythm of running product management, such as preparing analyses for and running the weekly product checkpoints, following up with product managers to ensure they meet commitments, and feeding dashboards and scorecards.
  • Manage short-term projects related to concept exploration, innovation, product development, implementation, or integration.
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to create and publish product documentation such as manuals, launch guides, roadmaps, and status reports.
  • Perform competitive analysis on external providers and act as a liaison with vendors as part of evaluation process.
  • Serve as member of the product innovation task force, and coordinate the submission and evaluation of innovation proposals.
  • Assist with all phases of product roadmapping across the group, including attending discovery sessions, keeping track of inflight roadmap items as they evolve, and preparation of final roadmaps for presentation to stakeholders and executives.
  • Create and aggregate stakeholder communications to ensure our customers are kept up to date on product progress.
  • Build business cases for new product initiatives
  • Explore and develop new processes and tools related to better automating product management and collaboration.
  • Obtain relevant data for product operations from other company stakeholders, such as marketing and finance.
  • Participate in product stand-ups to cross-train in different areas of the group.
  • Work with product managers to develop and monitor OKRs, helping them to keep OKRs up to date in company systems. Perform analysis of OKR progress.
  • Collaborate with the UX/design team to understand how users interact with the applications and propose and improve platform efficiency through more automation.


  • 3+ years building B2B technology products from idea to launch as product manager.
  • Experience using Agile processes in product development.
  • 2+ years managing complex technology-related projects with diverse stakeholders in a corporate or start-up environment.
  • Basic technical literacy in the fundamentals of software development from the product standpoint. Be able to converse with engineers and data scientists so they can understand product needs and you can understand how their solutions meet your requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in either a technology or business discipline.
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights using basic SQL and data analysis skills while understanding business strategy and metrics. 
  • Experience in e-commerce, adtech, martech, digital media, or digital marketing a plus. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interface at the senior leadership level.
  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude.
