Overview

reacHIRE is proud to partner with Inmar for a 6 month return-to-work program starting in May 2021 designed for .NET Software Engineers who are returning to the workforce after a 2+ year career break. 

 

Please note candidates who have worked in part-time roles or have done independent contracting will be considered for this opportunity. It is a cohort-based model that allows individuals to re-enter the workforce in a supported way with a group of fellow returning professionals. We provide a one-week intensive onboarding specially designed to build the skills needed to successfully re-enter the workforce. This proven approach fosters camaraderie among colleagues, builds confidence and upgrades technology and professional skills that will be invaluable throughout this next phase of their career.

 

Note that some of the responsibilities and areas of expertise listed below represent performance expectations to be met or skills to be gained by the end of the 6-month program. The Inmar Return-to-Work program is designed to help candidates on-ramp and upskill. We encourage all candidates with applicable prior experience to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to modify solutions
  • Participate in project planning and requirements definition
  • Perform Unit testing
  • Provide support during QA, User Acceptance Testing, implementations and integrations
  • Provide customer support for and technical advice in end user decision support software tools and end user computing technology
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and support new software solutions and changes to existing software solutions 
  • Translate Business Requirements into components of complex, loosely-coupled, distributed systems 
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in a variety of application environments. This includes being able to research issues related to system configuration, software and database systems, and problems related to data integrity or conformity. 
  • Maintain a focus on uptime and performance for high-volume solutions, hosted solutions 
  • Strong desire / ability to get up to speed on new technologies and platforms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 2+ years of experience in enterprise application development in the .NET environment 
  • 2+ years of experience with database development and tuning in the MS SQL Server platform specifically: T-SQL, stored procedures, data warehousing 
  • Understanding of object orientation and familiarity with modern design patterns
  • Working knowledge of ASP.NET (WebApi, MVC, Xamarin), C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS 
  • Familiarity with Dependency Injection (Ninject) 
  • Experience with ORMs (Entity Framework, NHibernate) 
  • Strong desire/ability to get up to speed on new technologies and platforms

Nice to Have Skills

 

  • Familiar with Service Orientation/RESTful Patterns and Concepts/API Design Fundamentals
  • Familiar with unit testing (Unity) 
  • Familiarity with any of the following JavaScript frameworks: Knockout, AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery/jQueryUI, Modernizer, VueJS, etc. 
  • Familiar with mobile development for Android and iOS 
  • Familiar with CI/CD build/deploy technology 
  • Ability to troubleshoot environment/hosting-related issues with cloud-based platform services or on-premise web technology (DNS, LoadBalancing, IIS, Windows Server, SSL, Security Contexts, basic firewall and networking concepts)
