Overview

reacHIRE is proud to partner with Fidelity Investments for a 6 month return-to-work program starting in September 2021 designed for Program/Project Managers who are returning to the workforce after a 2+ year career break.

Candidates who have worked in part-time roles or have done independent contracting will be considered for this opportunity. It is a cohort-based model that allows individuals to re-enter the workforce in a supported way with a group of fellow returning professionals. We provide a one-week intensive onboarding specially designed to build the skills needed to successfully re-enter the workforce. This proven approach fosters camaraderie among colleagues, builds confidence and upgrades technology and professional skills that will be invaluable throughout this next phase of their career.

 

Note some of the responsibilities and areas of expertise listed below represent performance expectations to be met by the end of the 6-month program. The RESUME program is designed to help candidates on-ramp and upskill. We encourage all candidates with prior experience as a leader of a team, process, or business function to apply!

Responsibilities

Your role:

 

We are currently seeking a qualified Program/Project Manager that will be a key contributor delivering quality solutions by supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives while ensuring consistency with business strategy, commitments and goals.

 

An ideal candidate would partner to lead and manage initiatives with cross-functional teams. Innovation to the program, tools and process is highly regarded as is relationship building with assigned team and business partners. S/he/they should also have the flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to their teams, providing excellent support and advice to the business unit.

  • Proven leadership skills, ownership and dedication for deliverables
  • Prior experience leading, directing and empowering team members without formal management authority
  • Strong consultative, listening, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinker with good judgment and initiative
  • Strong social skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers
  • Excellent command of verbal and written communication for all partners
  • Highly organized with ability to meet internal deadlines

The value you deliver:

  • Facilitate day-to-day coordination of initiative’s business readiness activities including planning and deployment of program activities/business product improvements
  • Assist with creation of deployment content and go to market launch alignment
  • Lead all aspects of coordination and facilitation of business acceptance validation
  • Collaborate with program team to track and handle issues and risks throughout project lifecycle
  • Provide status updates on a regular basis to executives and key business partners for assigned initiatives
  • Facilitate logistics for project/program planning sessions

Qualifications

The expertise we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 3 – 5 years of program/project management experience required
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong social skills and the ability to effectively and confidently communicate to more senior levels within the organization
  • The ability to manage multiple/competing projects in parallel
  • PMP certification and/or prior experience working on an agile team is a plus
