Summary

In this role, you will be a part of a team that works to define and update the supply/stock management of specific components including raw material, machined parts, and a variety of other commodities to ensure material availability for both internal and external customers of Schneider Electric.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

  • Validate and maintain lead time, MRP, open order status/on time delivery and quality
  • Review MRP to ensure material availability and future forecasted supply, without leading to excess or unhealthy inventory levels
  • Participate in daily production meetings, updating team on delivery and/or quality issues
  • Maintain close relationship to supplier base to secure delivery, quality & productivity service levels
  • Act as first escalation level for supplier crisis management
  • Expedite materials and follow up with transportation and import processes if needed
  • Actively participate in negotiating with supplier base who support your products to secure procurement, payment terms, etc. 
  • Work with Global Supply Chain on critical suppliers
  • Work with Engineering and Quality teams to manage supplier and parts qualification 
  • Evaluate any quality issues, determining root cause and any corrective actions
  • Contribute to productivity by supporting/implementing quality, delivery, & cost reduction objectives
  • Act as a self-starter, communicating with team members from all organizations

Qualifications

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have/Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or equivalent 
  • 5-10+ years of experience in supply chain planning within a large manufacturing organization
  • Previous ERP experience – preferably SAP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications including Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc. 
  • A self-starter
  • Strong negotiation & reporting skills

 

It's An Added Bonus If You Have:

  • Experience successfully managing supplier relationships
  • Experience planning in a Configure-to-Order (CTO) environment utilizing forecasts, hard demand, and historic consumption
  • Experience with international vendors
