Responsibilities

What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

Under general supervision of the Software Engineering Manager, the Software Engineer is a full-stack engineer who performs work assignments across the organization.

 

  • Collaborate with team members to modify solutions, participating in project planning and requirements definition 
  • System/application design and development
  • Perform Unit testing
  • Provide support during QA and UAT, Implementations and Integrations
  • Provide customer support for and technical expertise in end user decision support software tools and end user computing technology
  • Research issues in a variety of application environments related to system configuration, software & database systems, and problems related to data integrity or conformity.
  • Maintain a focus on uptime and performance for high-volume solutions, hosted solutions
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and support new software solutions and changes to existing software solutions
  • Translate Business Requirements into components of complex, loosely-coupled, distributed systems

Qualifications

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 2+ years experience in enterprise application development in a C#/.NET environment, with working knowledge of ASP.NET (MVC preferred), HTML, Javascript, CSS 
  • 2+ years experience with database development and tuning in the MS SQL Server platform specifically: T-SQL, stored procedures, & data warehousing
  • Understanding of object orientation, object relational mapping (ORMs) & familiarity with modern design patterns
  • Experience with UI based technologies 
  • Familiar with Dependency Injection 

 

It's An Added Bonus If You Have/Can:

  • Familiarity with Service Orientation/RESTful Patterns and Concepts/API Design Fundamentals 
  • Familiarity with unit testing
  • Familiarity with JavaScript best practices, design patterns and modern frameworks 
  • Familiarity with mobile development for Android and iOS 
  • Troubleshoot environment/hosting-related issues with cloud-based platform services
