Inmar’s supply chain software engineering teams build and support highly scalable, distributed systems using SaaS and Azure technologies. They frequently find themselves solving highly complex problems based on technical challenges such as: concurrency, high-volume loads, distributed architectures, asynchronous messaging, and high-speed performance requirements. They take pride in building and maintaining the best systems, being leaders in their business, and having fun along the way.  

Under general supervision of the Software Engineering Manager, the Supply Chain Support Software Engineer is a full-stack engineer who performs work assignments in the following areas: monitoring systems and responding to alerts, working through support tickets, collaborating with development team members, recommending technical direction of the platform to minimize support issues, developing enhancements and/or bug fixes to the platform, and communicating professionally with business users.


What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues in a variety of application environments, including being able to research issues related to system configuration, software & database systems, and problems related to data integrity or conformity.
  • Maintain a focus on uptime and performance for high-volume solutions, hosted solutions
  • Effectively communicate with end users to gather more information and give understandable resolutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy and support new software solutions and changes to existing software solutions
  • Collaborate with team members and provide thoughtful discussion on tactics and strategies as they are selected
  • Translate Business Requirements into components of complex, loosely-coupled, distributed systems
  • Maintain awareness and familiarity with evolving trends in software development


You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

  • 2+ years work experience in ASP.NET (WebAPI, MVC), C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 1 or more years of experience in enterprise application development in the .NET environment
  • 2+ years experience with database development and tuning in the MS SQL Server platform specifically: T-SQL, stored procedures, data warehousing
  • Strong understanding of object orientation and familiarity with modern design patterns
  • Strong experience with ORMs (Entity Framework)


It's An Added Bonus If You Have:

  • Familiarity with Service Orientation/RESTful Patterns & Concepts/API Design Fundamentals
  • Familiarity with JavaScript best practices, design patterns (including supersets like TypeScript), & Javascript frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery/jQueryUI, Modernizer, VueJS)
  • Experience with source control systems and tools, including Git, TFS, Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to data persistence solutions other than RDBMS (Key/Value Stores, Document Databases, BLOB/Object Storage)
  • Experience with distributed system design & service bus messaging/queueing systems
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices particularly in Azure services
  • Ability to troubleshoot environment/hosting-related issues with cloud-based platform services or on-premise web technology (DNS, LoadBalancing, IIS, Windows Server, SSL, Security Contexts, basic firewall and networking concepts)
