Celtic Building Supplies, a business servicing construction companies, architects, contractors, engineers, and homebuilders in the tri-state area for over 20 years with all their building material, safety, and project needs, is seeking to hire an Inside Sales Representative (ISR).

As an Inside Sales Rep (ISR) you will be responsible for making outgoing communications to warm or cold prospect lists to initiate a relationship between the customer and Celtic Building Supplies or to reinitiate a previous relationship. Responsible for researching and generating a list of potential customers through cold prospecting. Develop, monitor, and review monthly sales goals and adjust efforts accordingly. Assist with helping the Outside Sales Reps (OSR) in the field and occasionally going on the road to source customers. This role requires for the Inside Sales Representative to occasionally travel out of office to various job sites and locations with the OSR. This is a full-time, salaried position that has commission and ongoing monthly bonuses.


  • Up to 40% of the time will be helping and assisting the Outside Sales Rep
  • Occasionally travel to various jobsites within the tri-state area (NY, NJ and CT)
  • Make a minimum of 50 prospect/customer calls a day
  • Fill in for the Counter Sales Rep and Account Service Rep roles as needed
  • Participate in sales events and be aware of market fluctuation
  • Obtain continuous product knowledge
  • Achieve all sales goals and new customer acquisition goals


You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

  • Exceptional customer service is a must!
  • 1-2+ years of aggressive sales experience
  • Ability to handle high volume phone and email communication
  • Basic knowledge or experience with CRM software, and the use of organizational tools to manage book of business
  • High-level technical skills: Microsoft Outlook, Mail, Calendar, Word and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Organized with an extraordinary attention to detail
  • Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Energetic, outgoing, and patient
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, recognize the high sense of urgency, and to meet all deadlines
  • Ability to professionally communicate, in English, across various departments with all levels of employees both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to act independently and make decisions autonomously in accordance with Company Policy and Procedure


It's An Added Bonus If You Have:

  • 1-3 years of Building Materials/Building Supply or relevant experience
