Summary:

Seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the Manufacturing Operations team as a Production Technician at our Westford, MA location.  The qualified candidate will be capable of receiving and reviewing production work orders and input from multiple sources to build product to NETSCOUT quality standards using documented work instructions with the goal to meet or exceed corporate SLA and revenue targets.  The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-starter interested in gaining experience and knowledge in a variety of manufacturing methods used for building and testing servers and equipment that will be deployed in the network monitoring and cybersecurity industry. 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

  • Build and test rackmount servers used for network traffic analysis and security
  • Track server quality issues and report to appropriate manufacturing personnel
  • Analyzes production data and identifies trends, problems, and opportunities for improvement and reports production performance to upper management
  • Conducts routine to moderately complex production process evaluations
  • Make recommendations for process and quality improvements
  • Learn how to and complete inventory transactions in Oracle ERP system
  • Review daily backlogs to ensure OTD targets are met
  • Provide daily support for inventory planning including cycle counts and reconciling inventory variances
  • Perform additional tasks as directed

Qualifications

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

  • Completed 2 year technical degree with electronics or computer engineering preferred and/or equivalent degree and 3-5 years experience in a computer/electronics manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating environments highly desired
  • Knowledge of installation practices for computer processors, memory, storage and internal PCI slot based components
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization
  • Able to identify and be outspoken about issues that affect any aspect of the manufacturing process, quality or on-time delivery

 

It's An Added Bonus If You Have:

  • Knowledge of ISO, QMS, quality control, ESD practices and continuous improvement
