**Ameren will consider applicants who currently reside within the company's Missouri or Illinois service territory.**

Summary:

The Business Performance Specialist supports the activities of Ameren Illinois, providing financial analysis and statistical information to assist with financial planning and reporting throughout the business segment.  

What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

• Assist with the preparation and submission of the annual budget; conduct research and offer advice to resolve any significant variances between actual and budgeted expenditures.
• Provide monthly forecast of expenditures; prepare analytical and statistical information to ensure the most effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials for the area of responsibility.
• Assist personnel with all budget and accounting related information as requested.
• Provide performance assessments for all projects and research; resolving any significant variances between actual expenditures and budget.
• Assist department with special projects as assigned including preparation of specialized reports and confidential documents.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field from an accredited college or university
• CPA Certification and 1+ years of relevant accounting experience OR 3+ years of relevant accounting experience required without CPA certification.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite with an advanced level of proficiency with Excel.
• Good organizational, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and human relations skills.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor reports, solve problems and be decisive, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks requiring priority setting and deadlines.

• Master’s Degree or CPA/CMA/CFA
