Summary
Alkermes is seeking an experienced HRIS Manager in a key role in the effective management, enhancement, and optimization of our Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system.  Reporting to the Director of HRIS, this role is responsible for managing 3rd party vendor support, ensuring data accuracy, leveraging technology to support HR initiatives, and driving data-driven decision-making. The individual must have great interpersonal and collaboration skills to lead various global cross-functional projects.  Candidate must also have strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

This position will report to Director, HRIS, and is on a hybrid schedule in Waltham 3 days a week. 

Responsibilities

HRIS System Management:

  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Oracle HCM Cloud system and all other HRIS Systems in support of HR initiatives
  • Manage the HCM system release processes, 3rd party support vendor, and backlog to ensure the right priorities are being worked on at the right time
  • Manage and implement HR key events such as open enrollment and mid-year/ year-end performance and compensation cycles
  • Create accountability among project teams to deliver projects, upgrades, and enhancements on time
  • Create partnerships with HR team and business leaders to provide consultation on process improvements, releases, innovative solutions, process changes, and reporting 

HRIS Strategy:

  • Help develop and execute a strategic plan for HRIS that aligns with the organization's HR and business objectives
  • Identify opportunities to enhance system functionality and efficiency

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Responsible for identifying key themes, data trends, and providing insights to support business decisions
  • Develop and maintain standard reports, partner with key stakeholders to create custom reports on an ad hoc basis to support business needs; drive HR analytics and delivery
  • Generate and distribute regular HR reports and analytics to support business functions
  • Create ad-hoc reports and analyses to address HR-related questions and challenges

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate HR processes to identify areas for automation, optimization, and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to implement process enhancements

Integration and Technology Enhancements:

  • Collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure seamless integration of HRIS with other systems and applications
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements or upgrades to HR technology solutions
  • Responsible for managing and ensuring successful quarterly releases. Review release notes and provide input to the HR functions on the impact and functionality of the release

Data Governance, Privacy, and Compliance:

  • Drives critical HR reporting and data analytics company-wide, including state and federal compliance reporting (FLSA, EEO, VETS, AAP reporting).  Monitors current OFCCP requirements and ensures proper compliance
  • Ensure HR data is handled in compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies
  • Implement data retention and security measures
  • Support global data integrity processes, including adherence to global data standards. Work with local HR teams to develop action plans focused on continuous improvement of data integrity in accordance with data privacy laws
  • Monitors adherence to system procedures and processes; coaches, trains, educates in areas of non-compliance

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to HR staff and end-users on HRIS system functionality and best practices
  • Define and manage a full system testing strategy. This includes managing multiple “test” environments, creating test plans, and managing a library of test scripts for all modules 
  • Creates strategy for change management and communication to support long-term system adoption 

Qualifications

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Management of Information Systems or similar preferred) or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • At least 10 years of HR systems experience, expert-level experience with Oracle HCM modules preferred
  • Minimum 4 years Oracle HCM experience working on an HRIS team or equivalent Oracle consulting

  • Prior experience producing HR analytics for leadership 
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain processes and policies effectively
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail – data integrity
  • Must be able to set priorities and juggle several tasks within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with a positive attitude 
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Able to work cross-functionally with all departments 
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently and escalate issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to demonstrate both functional and technical aptitude
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Waltham office 3/days a week
