*Please note that this is a hybrid role and we are unable to consider candidates who would need to relocate for the program.

Responsibilities

Delivers accurate, high-quality financial information to team members, managers, and business partners. Produces and creates financial reports and other documents and analysis that support the overall Finance function in achieving its strategic and business goals, as well as training and checking the quality and accuracy of less experienced team members.

 

What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

  • Verify, correlate, compare, and organize data to facilitate analysis and forecasting.
  • Build simple to moderately complex models. Make simple to moderately complex modifications to existing models and updates them.
  • Pull defined financial and statistical data with interpretation and tailors’ presentation of data.
  • Maintain and prepare automated and standard reports.
  • Participate as Finance subject matter expert on large projects and may lead small projects.
  • Demonstrate understanding of process flow and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Build/deepen relationships with business partners in and out of the Finance organization.

Qualifications

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

 

  • Budgeting: Develops and manages annual and multi-year budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs.
  • Capacity Forecasting: Considers resource trends, facts, and changing demands to make predictions regarding future capacity needs.
  • Finance and Accounting Platforms: Processes daily finance and accounting information using the organization's preferred finance and accounting platform.
  • Financial Analysis: Reads, interprets, and draws accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Financial Planning: Calculates the capital required to achieve the organization's business goals.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Delivers accurate and timely financial reports. Could include analysis of month-end, quarterly and year-end close, and statutory reports.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Statistical and Econometric Modeling: Develops original statistical and econometric models in pricing, assortment, direct marketing, marketing mix models, risk management or for other business analysis purposes (e.g., using SAS, SPSS, or R software).

 

It's An Added Bonus If You Have: 

  • Advising: Offers recommendations on the best course of action to take and advises to support decision making that leads to delivery of outcomes.
  • Analytical Reasoning: Uses logic to figure out problems by breaking down the information into manageable components, in a step-by-step approach. Examines data to understand issues, assesses consequences of different courses of action, and proposes solutions.
  • Data Savvy: Identifies key information and data as well as relationships between different pieces of information. Uses business-related data presented in graphs, tables, and reports to generate solutions to a variety of problems, using statistical or other spreadsheeting skills.
  • Problem Solving: Leverages knowledge, previous experience, and skills to identify the crux of an issue and creates a workable solution to resolve problems. Understands verbal or numerical information and how to make reasoned decisions based on this analysis.
  • Technical Credibility: Demonstrates depth of knowledge and skill in a specific technical, functional, or professional area. Expertise in a particular process, function, technology, machine, material, or type of equipment. Leverages this knowledge to solve specific problems. Acquires and applies new skills to remain up to date in their area of expertise.
