Responsibilities

Provides independent and objective audit and advisory services to help manage risk, improve customer service, and enhance business performance. Works with a squad to carry out data-and risk-driven audit tasks. Leverages experience to support Project and Squad Leaders in audit project planning and test execution. Identifies trends, patterns, or anomalies in data, processes, and/or controls and uses insights to solve problems and recommend improvements to processes and controls.

 

What You’ll Contribute Day-to-Day:

  • Asks what-can-go-wrong questions of stakeholders to identify key risks, mitigating controls, and potential gaps.
  • Aids managers in design and development of the project scope, canvas (client and internal planning document) and Risk Control Matrix (RCM), including Risk and Control Statements.
  • Executes controls testing with minimal assistance.
  • Identifies/articulates issues and can understand what mitigating control enhancements are possible.
  • Applies knowledge of Fidelity’s Risk Management framework and risk categories and cites specific examples of business risks and potential consequences.
  • Prepares Points of View (POVs) and Executive Summaries to summarize testing results and actions to be taken by business unit management.
  • Assesses business risks/control environment, understanding the expected outcome of audit testing and evaluating the impact of results to the business and value provided.
  • Applies knowledge of relevant BU(s) products and services, how Audit serves our customers, and related technologies. 
  • Applies foundational knowledge of regulated legal entities and impact of Audit project to those entities.
  • Identifies key audit regulatory bodies and regulations and follows regulatory developments.
  • Demonstrates digital literacy; understands core technology and tools used by Audit, as well as emerging digital trends.
  • Works with Data Analytics team to analyze large datasets and visualize results.
  • Performs some Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) testing (e.g., Access, Security, Change Management), with direction and review.

    Understands the impact of these on the organization. Incorporates relevant trends to ensure the organization's relevancy and competitiveness.
  • Audit Reporting: Submits documented findings or audit reports to relevant parties as required.
  • Auditing: Assesses an organization's compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards. Covers business operations or processes, and financial and Information Technology (IT) systems. Documents all findings and prepares audit reports.
  • Compliance Framework: Develops guidelines that detail the organization's processes for maintaining compliance with regulations, specifications, or legislation.

  • Advising: Offers recommendations on the best course of action to take and advises to support decision making that leads to delivery of outcomes.
