Role Summary:

We are looking for a Database Developer with expertise and experience in designing and developing database solutions. The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following Fidelity best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process and providing support. The role also includes partner expectation management, technical expertise around design and analysis and development process management.

 

The Asset Management Technology (AMT) team provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Operations functions. We are an integral partner for Asset Management to deliver innovative, scalable, industry-leading investment tools that enable Asset Management to achieve driven advantage globally.  Our team builds products and capabilities that continue to distinguish our brand as the best customer experience in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create Procedures, Packages, Functions, views, Cursors, Procedural Language/Structured Query Language Collections and optimizing query performance and other database objects using an appropriate database language (i.e. Transact Structured Query Language, Procedural Language/Structured Query Language).
  • Analyze and interpret the performance of the existing systems, perform gap analyses, and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise in building our next generation data platform.
  • Actively participate in release planning, daily stand up, as well as helping the team with tactical activities like code review, design optimization etc.
  • Responsible for migrating software code deliverables and technical solutions through the development, integration, and production environments.
  • Create and execute data scripts in production for Data Manipulations as required by the Business.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to other team members through code reviews, cooperation, and educational presentations.
  • Distinguish and train others about standard methodologies concerning the software development process.
  • Share knowledge, skills, and perspectives to help teammates grow.

Qualifications

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have :

  • 7+ years of experience as Oracle SQL and PL/SQL developer .
  • Experience in Informatica development.
  • Have strong QA skills, Acceptance test-driven development
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services-AWS. (EC2, Lambda, EMR, S3)
  • Understanding of any of the Cloud Technologies (Amazon, Google, Microsoft) where database is hosted
  • Basic understanding of any ETL Tool like Informatica / Talend / AWS-glue/Adeptia
  • Basic understanding of any scheduling tools like Control-M or Autosys.
  • Enjoy working on different technologies to solve business problems
  • Adapt to changing requirements and priorities
  • In-depth Oracle 12c database and PL/SQL knowledge
  • Enjoy learning new technologies, data analysis, identifying data patterns and trends
  • Can independently figure out technical challenges, identify options and come up with innovative solutions
  • Perform Analysis, Design, Estimation and Development of the database components
  • Excellent communication skills to manage various stakeholders in US as well as in India

 

It's An Added Bonus If You Have:

  • Unix and Shell Scripting Basics
  • Experience in Agile methodologies or iterative development processes
